The restaurant is designed for the traveler, allowing guests to define their own experience; to relax, revitalize, and connect while away from home. This 3-meal restaurant feels uniquely linked to the Bay Area, from San Francisco and Silicon Valley to Napa Valley and the Santa Cruz mountains. Accenting the experience are local artworks inspired by the region, with a direct connection to the local landscape reflected in the table tops, sculptural art, and materials used. These one-of-a-kind pieces create a space that feels honest, crafted, and exclusive to the Bay Area.
TwinCrafts
Inspired by the Bay Area’s cityscape; details emulating urban life, from grid topography and textures, mixed eclectic architecture and cable car-inspired light fixtures to street inspired artwork, together transports guests outside SFO. Guests who may not be able to make it out to the airport’s surrounding areas can feel like they are experiencing San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area.
Brand & Identity Development: Quail and Crane “West Meets East”
The two birds stand as the perfect metaphor for a restaurant that epitomizes the parallel between east and west. The interior design concept embodies the vast natural landscapes of California, while the cuisine is tied to its Pacific counterpart-Asia.
One part Quail. One part Crane. We celebrate both cultures with a name that demonstrates their extraordinary individualism, modern interconnectedness, and ancient harmonious meanings.
Brand & Identity Development: Twincrafts “Aviation”
Flight happened far before the Wright brothers took to the skies. For millions of years, it was birds who owned the heavens - the only creatures to see the world with a perspective from above. Today, flight is commonplace for many - modern aviation using oceanic crosswinds to carry people, words, and cultural beliefs great distances.
It’s here, high in the farthest reaches of earth’s altitude where a true spirit of exploration still exists. A motivating force to try new things and live outside our comfort zones. The Market & Bar is a place that celebrates the spirit of travel - the mementos, the exemplary cuisine, and the unexpected conversations. Take flight - the sky is the limit.
