As a result of our successful work with Kempinski on a significant project in the Middle East, the brand recommended us to the developer of this large-scale, mixed-use new-build construction in downtown Kuala Lumpur. The client, whose hotel is slated to open in 2021, was seeking to incorporate the culture of Malaysia across all touch-points of its all-day dining facility, one of the hotel’s signature establishments.
The main dining room features nearly 175 seats while the outdoor bar and lounge accommodate an additional 90 guests. Both celebrate elements of Malaysian history and lore including nods to merchants of old, folk tales and royal traditions. Rounding out the outlet’s complete guest experience is the pastry studio, designed for dessert service as well as high tea in the afternoon.
